Cross The Ages is an IP that is developing mainly around two video games: the TCG and Arise, but also through books that expand the universe.

I had the opportunity to work on the Cross The Ages project for a little over a year, contributing to both games as well as to several commercial videos and trailers for new in-game content.

As part of my work on the TCG, I created and maintained a Sound Design Document (SDD), along with a detailed sound asset list.

Here is a list of the principal sounds I worked on:

  • In-game Card Sounds
(Drawing, burning, and playing cards depending on their element and power)

  • Leader Special Attacks
(Unique and impactful for each Leader’s special abilities)

  • Field Effects
(Players can activate fields that boost their cards — sounds vary based on the nature and element of the field)

  • UI Feedback and Interactions
    (Buttons, transitions, hover/click states)

  • Card Crafting Sequences
(Sounds for awakening, merging, or powering up cards)

  • Shop and Reward Sounds
(Audio feedback for purchases, chests, and reward screens)

  • Card Collection Display
    (Navigating, flipping, or inspecting cards)

  • Mixing in FMOD & Testing
(Mixing, parameter automation, audio polish, and in-engine testing using FMOD)

Those videos showcase several sound elements I’ve made:

On Arise, I worked on the demo that was presented at Tokyo Game Show 2024

My work on this project included:

  • Ambient and Environmental Sound Design
(For both the dungeon and the hub, where players can select levels, craft, view rankings, etc.)

  • Weapons and Elemental Attacks
(Design of weapon based on elements, focusing mainly on fire-based attacks)

  • Machines and Interactive Devices
(Crafting stations and other gameplay-related machinery)

  • Mining and Tree-Cutting
(Sound effects for resource gathering actions)

  • Destructible Crystals
(Sounds that reflect the crystal’s rarity and support resource gathering feedback)

Here is the trailer of the game, that will come out later this year:

I also had the opportunity to work on multiple trailers and marketing videos, designed to highlight project updates, feature announcements, and major content reveals. My contributions included:

  • Sound Effects and Mixing for Promotional Videos

  • Logo for the IP
  • Audio for Marketing Assets (trailers, teasers, announcements)

  • Final Mixes Tailored for Online Platforms (YouTube, social media, etc.)
